When you think of food, you most likely think about foods that are a joy to eat. Instead of purchasing plain white bread, choose 100% whole wheat with extra fiber instead. With bread, you can create several healthy meals from fat-free sandwiches to low-fat homemade french toast.
Chicken - When it's fried and battered with white flour, chicken is not considered to be one of the best weight loss foods. However, if you bake it in vegetables, it can do wonderful things for your waist line. Chicken is lean and full of satisfying protein. The best part is that it is versatile and can be cooked in more ways than one. You can eat chicken in soup, on a sandwich, and in a salad.
Eggs - Eggs are high in protein and can fill you up within minutes. People who eat eggs on a regular basis are less likely to be hungry for fattening foods. Eggs should not be fried or scrambled with cheese. For weight loss, they should be eaten boiled, broiled, in a salad, deviled on a sandwich using low-fat mayo, or eaten with vegetables and low-fat cheese in omelet-form.
Vegetables - There was no way to single any particular vegetable out, so we had to mention vegetables as a whole. Spinach, broccoli, onions, corn, romaine lettuce, carrots, mushrooms, squash, and okra are just a few of the vegetables that can be eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. You can eat vegetables on pizza, in burritos, in salads, and you can also eat them plain. They help you to lose weight quickly because they are all high in nutrients, and most of them also contain a good bit of fiber.
No one ever said that losing weight was difficult. If you can find some weight loss foods that you think you will enjoy eating, it won't feel like a task. All you have to do is look online for some creative recipes that you can make at home using the weight loss foods listed above. Before you know it, eating won't make you feel bad afterward because you will be able to do so guilt-free!
